Investing in Our Children, Investing in Our Future
See a video highlighting the impact of First 5 Commissions in the Bay Area Region. The region includes twelve counties -- Sonoma, Napa, Solano, Marin, San Francisco, Contra Costa, Alameda, Santa Cruz, Santa Clara, San Mateo, Monterey, and San Benito. First 5 Commissions throughout the region joined together to produce a video and information packet that explains the critical nature of early childhood development and how commissions in the region are investing in health, education, family, and community programs for children from the prenatal stage through age 5. By using Proposition 10 tobacco tax funds in their local communities, the twelve Bay Area First 5 Commissions are funding programs that benefit more than 500,000 parents and children annually.
